Transcription: A seemingly unspoiled landscape is under threat from many human activities. Visitors to the countryside do not always respect it and often leave their rubbish behind. To make access easier, new roads are constructed. Rock has to be quarried from the ground for aggregate and to build the new developments that serve the tourists. Our modern lifestyle generate huge quantities of waste and this is often buried in old disused quarries. In some places unscrupulous or careless disposal of chemicals has contaminated the land and this now poses a threat to future generations.
